Abstract

957,976. Hair curlers. H. KEGEL, [trading as KADUS-WERK LUDWIG KEGEL KOMM.-GES.]. April 30, 1963, No. 17039/63. Heading A4V. A hair curler comprises a cylindrical hollow body 1 having integral teeth 2, 3 at the ends, axial movement of the curler, after winding-on of the tress, engaging both series of teeth in the hair to retain the curler and the coiled tress. The curler is made of polished plastic, static electricity aiding adhesion of the hair to the curler, and the teeth 2 can be used to comb and pick up a tress. In modifications the teeth 2 are axial or inwardly curved and the series of teeth extend only part way round the circumference.
