Abstract

1490012 Heating curlers PERMA 14 Jan 1975 [8 Feb 1974] 1623/75 Heading A4V A heating sleeve for a hair curler comprises an elongate cylindrical body 1, split along a line 2 parallel to the axis thereof so as to form a pincer, and provided with two extensions 4 spaced on either side of the portion 3 which is diametrically opposite the split and which acts as a hinge, the said extensions providing members for opening the pincer, and the cylindrical body having on its exterior wall a plurality of vanes 10 arranged in planes extending radially about the axis of the cylindrical body. There may also be provided a pair of vanes 11 which are not quite in a plane with the axis but which are inclined towards the extensions 4 to which they are adjacent. The extensions may be horn-shaped in cross-section and may be slightly narrower at their bases than in their central portions. The sleeve may be made of rubber or plastics material and is fitted over a curler upon which the hair has been rolled.
