Abstract

956,171. Cartons. JOHN WADDINGTON Ltd. Feb. 25, 1963 [Feb. 6, 1962], No. 4476/62. Heading B8P. A carton of tubular form is made from a single blank and has a base formed from flaps adapted to interlock and to project angularly inward to form a whorl of spaced fingers. The blank has rectangular panels 1-4: and a gumming strip 5 which adheres to the panel 1. The panels have extensions 6-9, of greater length than the width of the panels, each extension consisting of a vertical and a horizontal limb and with tabs 11 on alternate flaps 7 and 9. On erection the vertical limbs overlap the respective horizontal limbs and the free edges of the flaps rest against the panels. The tabs 11 may be adhered to the respective flaps 6 and 8.
