Abstract

952,563. Curtain rails. HARRISON (BIRMINGHAM) Ltd. Feb. 4, 1963 [Feb. 22, 1962], No. 6849/62. Heading A4B. A curtain rail has one end connected to a bracket 14 to be pivotable about a pivot 15 and the other end releasably connected to a bracket 16 by engaging a hook-like projection 17 with an aperture 18 in the web 10 of the rail so that when released the rail may be inclined downwardly to facilitate access to the runners and hooks, the inclination being limited by a cord 19. Lateral movement to affect engagement or disengagement of the projection with the aperture is allowed by flexibility of the rail, play in the pivot 15 or by a hinged end part containing aperture 18.
