Abstract

1,058,364. Suspending curtains. THOMAS FRENCH & SONS Ltd. Oct. 28, 1965 [Nov. 5, 1964], No. 45159/64. Heading A4B. Suspension gliders 21 are carried by pairs of flanges 15 and 19, at different levels, in telescoping rail sections 10 and 11 and by both pairs of flanges in a transfer region, so that a smooth transition from one section to the other is achieved. Instead of gliders 21, suspension rollers may be used with rectangular rail sections of correspondingly deeper profile. In another form, in which gliders are carried by a single flange in each section, the flange of the inner rail 25 (Fig. 4, not shown) is constituted by an inwardly cranked margin of a slot. Extruded rail sections may be used and the gliders may be adapted for draw cord operation.
