Abstract

856,482. Detachable feet, joints, brackets. PARNALL & SONS Ltd. April 28, 1959 [April 29, 1958], No. 13505/58. Classes 52(1), 52(2) and 52(5) A clamping element 9 interposed between the hooked inner end of a shelf &c. bracket 6, or a foot 11, and a co-operating slotted pillar 8 has a projection 9d engaging a slot in the pillar to anchor the clamping element during engagement of the bracket hooks 7 in the slots 8a in the pillar. The bracket is retained, loosely, in a channel 9b in the element by a pin 10 and slot 6b, the bracket hooks projecting through apertures 9c in the element, the slot 6b and the apertures 9c being long enough to permit movement of the hooks 7 to embrace the edges of the slots 8a and the cooperating sloping faces 9e and 6a of the channel and of the bracket providing a wedging effect.
