932,569. Furniture joints; rackstands. FISHER & LUDLOW Ltd. Dec. 20, 1961 [Oct. 15, 1960], No. 35405/60. Classes 52 (2) and 52 (3). [Also in Group XXV] A fastening element suitable for connecting together sheet metal parts 10, 13, e.g. in the construction of metal shelves, platforms or storage racks, comprises locking members 15, 16 formed with recesses 20 adapted to engage the edges of aligned holes 14, 12 of the metal parts 10, 13, the locking members being driven apart by means of a wedge 25 to secure the parts together. The wedge may be fixed in position by a screw, on a piece of wire which may extend through holes 26 formed in ears 22 of the locking members 15, 16 and a slot 27 of the wedge 25. The wedge is also provided with a slot 28 to facilitate its removal.
