Abstract
952,511. Bags. J. A. SENIOR. Nov. 20, 1962 [Aug. 23, 1961], No. 30354/61. Heading A4G. [Also in Divisions B8 and E2] A bag 1, Fig. 1, is made of woven fabric, which is devoid of exposed yarn or fibres so that the contents, e.g., wool, do not become contaminated, and is reinforced by members 2 and provided with lifting rings 3, 5. The fabric may be coated with plastics material after being woven or the yarn may be coated before being woven. Alternatively coated yarn may be used in combination with a synthetic yarn. The members 2 and handles 5 may be of leather, webbing or rope. The flaps 4 may be closed by any known means e.g. the flat end of a skewer, Fig. 2, may be inserted through an elongated hole 6, Fig. 3, and turned through 90 degrees so that it is not inadvertently detached. The flaps 4 are made to overlap either by putting the holes 6 in a crease 7, Fig. 4, or in a subsidiary strip of material 5, Fig. 5. Valves may be provided in the reinforcing straps to provide ventilation when the material used for the bag is impervious. Runners or other antifriction devices may be provided.
