952,349. Knitting-machines. SDRUZENI PODNIKU TEXTILNIHO STROJIRENSTVI. Aug. 19,1960 [Aug. 28,1959], No. 26742/60. Heading D1C. Thread 2 tensioned by a brake 3, before passing into the nip of and around at least a substantial part of the circumference of one or both of delivery rollers 1, 4 which rotate about parallel axes. The roller 4 is driven by the machine, is made of, say, metal and may be roughened, or provided with grooves 5 or longitudinal slots. The roller 1 is covered with a smooth surface rubber or other recilient material and is pressed against roller 4 by its own or an additional weight, or by a spring. Several rollers 1, side by side, may be provided. The brake 3 may be of plate-,reel, clamp-, or ball-type. The device may feed a single thread or a group thereof. The thread passes to the thread guide by way of a slip motion 7 and a guiding rod 6.
