A closure for sealing the neck of a drum or other container comprises a disc 21 having a tapered portion for sealing engagement with the neck or with a hollow member 15 located within the neck, and a separately rotatable cap ring 19 which screws on to the neck and bears on the disc 21 to force the tapered portion into the neck, the disc and cap ring interfitting with each other to restrain them from separation when disengaged from the neck by the interengagement of lip 26 and projection 24 on the disc and depending wall 31 on the cap ring. To dispense the contents of the container, the cap and disc are removed and the member 15 reversed to act as a pourer spout and clamped in position by ring 19. The container may be resealed without the use of member 15 by placing disc 21 with its peripheral ridge 25 in the groove 14 and securing it in position with ring 19. The member 15, cap ring and disc are preferably made from a synthetic resin. According to the Provisional Specification the lower end of member 15 may be closed by a diaphragm.
