Abstract
950,259. Plastics valve bags. ROSEDALE ASSOCIATED MANUFACTURERS Ltd. Sept. 18, 1962 [Jan. 13, 1962], No. 35510/62. Heading B8K. A substantially rectangular valve flap 8, Fig. 3, is secured at 9 to one wall 2 of a plastics bag, near a cutout 7 from the edge 3, and the outwardly projecting end of the flap is then folded in line with the edge 3 and secured at 10, 11, Fig. 1, to the other wall 1 of the bag. The seams 10, 11 may be reinforced by seams 12, 13. The flap may be of thinner material than the bag wall or may have an inner extension of thinner material. The cut-out is preferably arcuate but may be rectangular and is situated either in a fold or at a seamed edge. The seams are preferably welded. The flap may be of a colour contrasting with the bag walls.
