Abstract

949,754. Mounting pictures. EASTMAN KODAK CO. Oct. 17, 1962 [Oct. 31, 1961], No. 39237/62. Heading A4X. A record card 10 providing a mounting for a piece of film 14 or like insert has an opening 13 of predetermined size which extends to a shorter edge of the card and an aperture 23 is formed in the card by a member 24, the film 14 being retained loosely within the aperture by frame members 15, 17 having apertures 16, 18 and secured one either side of the card. Frame members 15, 17 are of thin material such as paper tempered spring steel or a polyester film and are secured by marginal portions thereof to marginal edges of card 10 around opening 13 by a pressure-sensitive or a heat-sensitive adhesive. The film may be seucred adhesively to the frame members 15, 17. The member 24 is retained in position by adhesive to the frame members 15, 17. It is stated that the member 24 could be stapled to frames 15, 17 or a mechanical interlock imposed between the edges of the card at opening 13 and of member 24. Specification 949,753 is referred to.
