A holder for notepaper, blotting paper and the like comprises a backing member provided with means for releasably holding a pad of paper. means adapted to overlie the top sheet of said pad and to divide the latter into a number of visually distinguishable parts, and a compartment for holding and displaying indicia such as a calendar card. The holder comprises backing members 5, 8 and 9 hinged together and provided with pockets 6, 12 and 20 and corner pieces 7, 13 and 21 to receive note pads 1, 2 and a blotting pad 3. A compartment 4, having windows 28, 29, 30 covered by transparent material, is detachably secured to the backing member 9 by means of an interengaging flap and pocket or slot. As shown, the compartment comprises a single sheet folded in three, the top two sheets forming the compartment open at the top to receive the calendar cards and the lower sheet forming the flap inserted in the pocket or slot in the backing member 9, the lower edge of the compartment being housed in the pocket 20, Fig. 4 (not shown). A rectangular frame 14 provided with openings 19 marked Monday to Saturday, is hinged to the pocket 12 to divide the top sheet of the pad 1 into six. Alternatively, a single strip having the days marked therealong is hinged to the pocket 12 to extend along one edge of the pad 1. The backing members 8, 9, which are half the width of the backing member 5, may be folded over the latter to close the holder. In alternative arrangements, the blotting pad 3 is omitted from the holder, note pads 1 and 2 being hinged directly together, or the holder comprises note pad 2 only, having a compartment 4 and an overlying rectangular frame 14, Fig. 7 (not shown).
