Abstract

949,446. Extensible hoppers. COMPAGNIE ITALIANA FORME ACCIAIO. Oct. 3, 1962 [Oct. 4, 1961], No. 37480/62. Heading B8S. A mobile concrete hopper 3, Fig. 3, has a collapsible extension 7 which may be lowered to facilitate transport along the road. The wall 8 of the extension is of rubberized fabric or other flexible material and is sealed to a flange 9 and to a metal lid 10. Pipes 11, 12, Fig. 4, for supplying and distributing cement, are supported by clamps 13 and hold the extension 7 in its raised position. The extension is raised by blowing compressed air through the pipe 11 from a compressor which may form part of the apparatus. Cement is transferred from the hopper 3 to a mixer 4 by a skin 5.
