Abstract

929,920. Rollerway conveyers. WELDED & ALLIED PRODUCTS Ltd. Feb. 20, 1962 [Oct. 25, 1961; Dec. 5, 1961], Nos. 38177/61 and 43416/61. Class 78 (1). A rollerway conveyer is adjusted for height by means of an inflated rubber bag. Thus the rollerway comprises rollers 17 which are rotatably carried by tray 14, and tray 14 rests upon rubber bag 9 carried by channel 1. Bag 9 is contained within canvas hose 11 and is inflated by compressed air at 8 so that the bag expands to raise the tray 14 till the tray 14 engages the flanges of channel 1 and the rollers 17 then assume the raised position ready for use. When the bag is collapsed the rollers 17 are lowered into the channel 1 into their out-of-way position.
