1467686 Driving rollerways HENRY SIMON Ltd 31 Oct 1975 [21 Nov 1974] 50608/74 Heading B8A Means for frictionally driving conveyer rollers 10 include pressure rollers 12 which are raised and lowered by means of an inflatable tube 15. As shown the tube 15 when inflated raises the rollers to urge a drive belt 14 against the conveyer rollers 10. Alternatively, the pressure rollers 12 could be drive rollers. Bearing blocks 18 spread the load from the pressure rollers 12 over the tube 15. Alternatively the tube is positioned above the pressure rollers which are urged upwardly by springs. In this case, inflation of the tube presses the rollers downwardly.
