Abstract

946,078. Knapsack crop sprayers. STICHTING ARBEIDSZORG. Jan. 22, 1962 [Feb. 20, 1961], No. 2308/62. Heading B2F. A knapsack type portable spraying equipment comprises a carrier framework, supporting a liquid container 1, Fig. 1, and having a backbrace 7, Fig. 2, at its lower end and an end of each of two carrying straps 5 fastened to its upper end. The lower ends of the straps 5 are detachably secured to the back brace at 10. An end of each of two cross straps 22 is connected toward the upper end of a respective carrying strap 5 while the other end of each strap is hooked on to a second carrier framework 26 supporting a pressurized gas supply container 27. The liquid container has a filling opening 16, a gas inlet 19 and a discharge outlet 20 to spray nozzle(s) (not shown). The container 27 has a pressure reduction valve 28 and a cock 29 and may be filled with liquid propane. The gas may be fed via tube 32 into the bottom of the liquid container tangentially. A float valve 34-36 may be provided to close outlet 20 and prevent gas escaping when the liquid level falls.
