Abstract

A coated sheet, suitable for use as a copying material in a thermographic process in which the coating is transferred, comprises a support of paper, cellulose hydrate, a cellulose ester, or a foil of synthetic polymer (examples given) coated with one or more waxes or wax-like materials insoluble in water and melting at a temperature in the range 30 to 140 DEG C. The coating may comprise natural or synthetic waxes or resins alone or together, mineral oil and a dye and/or pigment and may also contain a solid fatty acid such as oleic acid. An anti-curl coating of non-pigmented wax may be applied to the back of the sheet.
