Abstract

A non-tacky, thermoplastic composition which is adhesive at temperature above 150 DEG C. comprises polyethylene or polypropylene, a thermoplastic resin such as a polyterpene, polybutene and polystyrene. Optional ingredients are paraffin or petroleum wax, and hydroxytoluene as antioxidant. The compositions find application as coatings for bonding materials together.ALSO:Kraft paper, board, polyethylene or polypropylene film aluminium foil, rubber hydrochloride film, regenerated cellulose film or waxed paper is coated with a heat sensitive composition comprising polyethylene or polypropylene, a polyterpene, polybutene and polystyrene. Optional ingredients of the composition are paraffin or petroleum wax, and hydroxytoluene.
