Abstract

944,583. Garment fastenings. W. O. WHITE. Feb. 27, 1961 [March 23, 1960], No. 10227/60. Heading A3V. [Also in Division E2] Attachment means for attaching together articles of wearing apparel 12, 16 comprises a first element 10 of thermo-plastic material for attachment to one article and presenting a longitudinally extending channel 13 the mouth 14 of which is restricted relative to the internal width of the channel and at least one wall of which is provided with spaced-apart transversely extending slits 19, and a second element 11 of thermo-plastic material for attachment to another article and presenting a bead 17 and a flange 18 the bead being engageable with or disengageable from the channel 13 of the first element by relative longitudinal sliding movement between the elements the flange 18 being arranged to extend through the mouth of the channel when the bead 17 is engaged therein. The elements are attached to the articles by sewing.
