Abstract

941,890. Agricultural implements. G. H. PALM. April 21, 1961 [June 15, 1960], No. 14515/61. Heading A1B. Plant thinning apparatus comprises a landwheel 8 coupled to a thinning disc 14 by means of a flexible shaft 10 or a shaft equipped with a Cardan joint. As shown the disc 14 is mounted on a pivoted member 17 so that the position of the disc may be adjusted. The landwheel comprises a disc on which members 9b are fixed. The disc 14 includes thinning tools which are adjustably mounted and may -be replaced by arcuate members 33. For heaping soil around the plants plates 28 with pins 29 are rotatably mounted behind the disc 14 and rotate by contact with the ground.
