A denture reinforcement comprising a wire 1 carrying at each end a collar 2 with a radial screw-threaded hole is embedded in a wax denture model, a screw 3 is located in the radial hole so that it projects from the model, a denture mould is made from the model, the screw supporting the wire in the mould cavity formed on melting out the wax and the denture is cast in the mould around the wire. The projecting part of the screw which is made of synthetic plastic is removed by grinding from the moulded denture.
