Abstract

1,191,155. Moulding pipe couplings. KERAMIKMASCHINEN m.b.H. & CO. GES. FUR. 3 May, 1967, No. 20416/67. Heading B5A. [Also in Division F2] In a method of making a branched pipe coupling of ceramic material, cores 5 and 6, Fig. 1, are inserted into a two-part mould 4 to define a cavity which is filled with the ceramic material, e.g. from a screw or plunger injection apparatus 1. Grooves 17, 18 and 19, Fig. 4, are formed in the pipe during moulding. The cores or the mould parts may be coated with a release agent, e.g. p.t.f.e. The mould has apertures through which excess material is discharged.
