Abstract

941,039. Squeeze-tubes. ANCHOR GLASS CO. Ltd. Jan. 4, 1962 [Nov. 22, 1960], No. 40189/60. Heading B8D. A squeeze-tube and cap assembly comprises a tube 1 of resilient plastics material having at its mouth a cap 5 which has a protrusion 11, the tube being provided with an eye 12 for receiving the protrusion, the arrangement being such that the cap can be removed from the tube and caused to adhere to a plane surface, whereafter the tube can be hung from the protrusion by means of the eye. The tube has a screw cap 4 ridged on the outside, the cap 5 having ridges on the inner side of the part 7 which intermesh with those of 4 so that the cap 5 can fit over the cap 4. The cap 5 can adhere to a plane surface by means of a suction element 8. Alternatively, the cap 5 may be provided with a layer of pressure or watersensitive adhesive for sticking it to a plane surface.
