Abstract
The invention relates to a pressure vessel containing therein under pressure liquefied nitrous oxide and liquid halothane, the respective amounts of the liquefied nitrous oxide and liquid halothane being such that upon placing the contents of the vessel in communication with the atmosphere whereby they escape as a gaseous mixture, there is still nitrous oxide present at such time as the halothane content of the pressure vessel has been completely volatilized. The concentration of halothane in the gaseous mixture is constant at about 0.6% by volume. It is administered along with at least 20% by volume of oxygen. Specification 767,779 is referred to.
