Abstract

940,049. Suitcases. G. W. SINCLAIR. Sept. 18, 1962 [Oct. 14, 1961], No. 36962/61. Heading A4G. A travelling bag having a lid 21 hinged to a base 10 and closed by a sliding clasp fastening having a pair 16, 17 of wholly separable tapes whereby the lid and base can be separately produced with a respective tape and subsequently joined together. Hinge flaps 24, 25 are secured to the base and cover the loose ends of the tapes, Fig. 3, one pair of ends being secured together. The bag walls are formed by material sewn over stiffeners.
