938,484. Preventing condensation &c. on windows. F. L. DAHLBERG. Oct. 18, 1960 [Oct. 24, 1959], No. 35684/60. Class 20 (3). [Also in Group XI] An electric fan heater is detachably mountable-e.g. by a suction cup-such that heated air is directed from an outlet nozzle in its casing on to the inner surface of a vehicle rear window, to counteract frosting and misting of the latter. Air is drawn in, past a grid 34, through an aperture 33 by impeller 16 driven by motor 17, which is provided with a rheostat to vary the fan speed. The air is driven past thermostat 25 and heating element 21 before ejection through the oblong nozzle 15 defined by the two parts 11 and 12 of the plastic casing 10, which are shielded in the neighbourhood of the element 21 by asbestos casing 24. The heating element and fan are separately energisable by the vehicle battery. The device may be mounted on the window by suction cup 30, or alternatively a screw-on bracket may be provided for mounting adjacent the window. '
