Abstract

981,223. Air conditioning. ELM WORKS Ltd. May 10, 1961 [May 10, 1960], No. 16517/60. Heading F4V. An air-purifying hood, adapted to be mounted on brackets 6 above a cooking stove, has a closed base 12 provided with an air inlet aperture containing a removable grease filter 17 and carbon air-deodorizer 18, a motor-driven fan 26 drawing foul air through parts 17, 18 and discharging conditioned air through an outlet 28. The inlet may, as shown, be offset from the fan axis or may be coaxial with the fan. The fan motor may be resiliently mounted. Lights 11a are disposed above a translucent panel 16 in the base.
