938,430. Fuel injection systems. ACF INDUSTRIES Inc. Feb. 11, 1960 [March 2, 1959], No. 9951/62. Divided out of 938,429. Drawings to Specification. Class 7(3). A fuel injection system comprises throttle means for controlling the flow of air to the engine, means for measuring the flow of air to the engine, a source of fuel under pressure, a fuel delivery system for delivering fuel from the source to an outlet at the engine, a datum pressure system connected to receive fuel from the source and having a regulator therein for regulating the pressure in the datum system, the fuel delivery system including fuel metering means for metering fuel from the source to the outlet, means controlled by the air flow measuring means for controlling the fuel metering means, pressure responsive means for controlling the pressure at the outlet connected into the datum system and means controlled by the throttle means for actuating the regulator to vary the datum pressure in response to movement of the throttle means. The system is similar to that described in Specification 938,429.
