A fuel and air supply system for an internalcombustion engine includes a datum pressure system, means for holding pressure in the datum system and means responsive to acceleration of the engine for byepassing the pressure-holding means to reduce the pressure in the datum system. The system is similar to that described in Specification 929,775. Specification 830,305 also is referred to.
