1,147,152. Fluid-pressure servomotor systems. JOSEPH LUCAS (INDUSTRIES) Ltd. June 13, 1966 [April 9, 1965], No.15133/65. Heading G3P. [Also in Division F1] A variable delivery pump 10 supplies fuel to a gas turbine engine via line 13, manually adjustable throttle 14, metering valve 17 and line 15. The pressure drop across throttle 14 positions the closure member 18 of valve 17 and the total pressure drop is applied to servomotor 12 to control the pump output. A constant flow is thereby obtained for a given setting of the throttle. In a modification, a turbine-driven centrifugal pump is used and the pump output is controlled by varying the speed of the turbine.
