Abstract

937,854. Crop sprayers. L. C. PEARCH. Sept. 19, 1960, No. 32107/60. Addition to 844,318. Class 69 (3). The spraying unit of the parent case is so modified that when mounted on a tractor or trailer its air entry faces rearwardly so that the air travels in a forward direction through the unit. As shown, the fan tunnel 11 of the unit has its air entry 26 adjacent a tank 29 on a trailer 28, the other end of the tunnel is secured to a gear-box 12 driven via a shaft 13. The annular air outlet 18 at the forward end of the unit is associated with spray nozzles 20 supplied by a vane pump 22.
