In a compressor piston 5 which is formed integrally with a Scotch yoke 4 and has apertures 7 for the removal of the mould core, the piston is reinforced at the connection between the piston end yoke by an internal fin 8 that is integral with and extends longitudinally of the yoke 4 and is joined at each end 9 to piston wall.
