Abstract

934,931. Vibrating road rollers. LINER CONCRETE MACHINERY CO. Ltd. July 16, 1962 [July 19, 1961], No. 26095/61. Class 6(1). A road roller is provided with a vibrating unit 21 driven by a hydraulic motor 18 located inside the roll 17. The roll 17 is rotatably supported on two shaft sections 13, 14 connected together by a platform 15. The motor 18 is provided with pressure fluid from a pump 26 driven by a power unit 27 a control valve 29 being provided for controlling the flow of pressure fluid for the motor 18. Anti-vibration devices 30 are provided between collars 12 and the frame 11. For enabling the roller to operate up to a lateral obstruction the frame 11 may be cranked inwardly and the ends of the roll 17 are dished. In a modification the roll may be driven by a hydraulic motor and the frame may comprise a single side arm. Specification 934,932 is referred to.
