Abstract
933,939. Boat construction. A. J. DAVIES. March 28, 1962 [Jan. 14, 1961], No. 1651/61. Class 113. A boat or dinghy comprises plywood sections shaped to form a side 11 of the hull, the bottom or a half 12 thereof and a transom 13, assembled and moulded on a former and united by means of synthetic resin impregnated glass fibre tapes 14, 15 applied to the lines of juncture of the sections to form the hull. Tapes may also be used to fit thwarts 16, Fig. 5, ribs and longitudinal reinforcing members. Floor boards may be fitted, and a decking and capping 23, Fig. 9, moulded in one piece from polyester fibre glass laminate may be attached.
