871,446. High speed craft. JAPAN AIRCRAFT MANUFACTURING CO. Ltd. Aug. 20, 1959 [Jan. 30, 1959], No. 28497/59. Classes 113 and 114. A high speed planing craft having a hull 1 of Vee-bottom type is provided with longitudinal projections 2 of Vee-shaped cross-section on the stern half of the underside and the part of the hull between the projections 2 is outwardly protruded. The craft may be of the stepped Veebottom type with the projections 2 extending from the transverse central step to the stern and the lowermost tips 23, 24 of the hull may be made flat and provided with wear resisting surfaces. The craft may be a high speed boat, water ski, or yacht amd may be wood, aluminium allow or glass fibre reinforced polyester or epoxy resin.
