Abstract

1501193 Power boat hulls ROTORK MARINE Ltd 18 May 1976 [20 May 1975] 21553/75 Heading B7A A marine craft, e.g. propelled by jet units, comprises a hull, rectangular in plan, with a flat under-surface having longitudinally extending members 22, 23 at each side, and one or more longitudinal projections 25, 26 to form channels 27, 28, 29 which trap air passing under the upwardly curved stem 17. The members 22, 23 decrease in depth from stem to stern. The hull is made from resin reinforced synthetic plastics, or aluminium, in a torsional box construction filled with plastics foam. The jet unit entrances (44), Fig. 4 (not shown), are formed in the projections 25, 26.
