1289361 Boat with inflatable gunwale DUNLOP HOLDINGS Ltd 19 Sept 1969 [19 Sept 1968 30 Oct 1968 22 Feb 1969 7 June 1969] 43863/69 51365/68 9648/69 and 28914/69 Headings B7A and B7S [Also in Division E2] The rigid hull 1 of a composite boat comprising a rigid floor 3, rigid upwardly extending side members 2 and a rigid transom 4, has an inflatable gunwale 5 attached to the upper rim of the side members so that over a major portion of the length of the gunwale a portion of the gunwale projects outboard of the rim of the hull side members and at least the greater part of the gunwale volume lies above the upper rim of the side members. In the embodiment shown the gunwale is in two cylindrical sections 6 and 7 which are joined together in the bows.
