Abstract

A composition suitable for applying a lubricant material to a slide fastener comprises a propellant which is a low boiling chlorofluorinated hydrocarbon (e.g. dichlorodifluoromethane) and a lubricant mixture consisting of a mixture of a chlorinated hydrocarbon solvent with a condensate of ethylene oxide with a fatty alcohol, fatty acid or alkyl phenol. Solvents mentioned are perchloroethylene, trichloroethylene and 1:1:1-trichloroethane, and the solvent may be diluted with a small quantity of white spirit.
