Abstract
928,485. Engine construction. MECCANICA GARELLI S.p.A. Jan. 9, 1961 [Jan. 14, 1960], No. 909/61. Addition to 892,066. Classes 7(2) and 7(6). A multi-cylinder outboard propeller engine for boats, comprises a plurality of co-planer engines 5, Fig. 1, as claimed in the parent Specification, having parallel crankshafts 2, Fig. 2, arranged in a circular row around a central mainshaft 1, with means coupling each crankshaft to the mainshaft. Four engines 5 are arranged in H form in a common horizontal plane with the separate crankshafts each driving toothed wheels 3 which engage wheel 4 keyed to the mainshaft.
