Abstract

927,788. Stoppers. L. LESLIE-SMITH. Sept. 14, 1959 [Sept. 13, 1958], No. 29412/58. Class 125(3). [Also in Group XIII] A stopper 5 for a vacuum flask screws into or on to a pouring lip 1 and both the stopper and pouring lip have inclined surfaces 9 and 4 which engage when the stopper is screwed in. The inclined surfaces may be formed by a groove in the stopper and a projection on the lip and the stopper may screw on to the outside of the lip. The mating surfaces may be inclined at different angles when one or both of the surfaces are deformable. According to the Provisional Specification the lip may have threads on both its inside and outside and a stopper to coact with both threads may then be used. Specifications 885,987 and 885,990 are referred to.
