A closure means for test tubes comprises a resilient stopper 2 having an axial bore 3 meeting a transverse chamber 4 opening in to the side wall of the stopper. A filtering plug 9 is inserted in the transverse chamber 4 across the opening of the axial bore 3. A plug 10 having a capillary bore 11 may be inserted in the axial bore 3. An upwardly directed extension 7 on the stopper serves as a grip.
