Abstract

927,153. Adjustable back rests for seats. CO-OPERATIVE WHOLESALE SOCIETY Ltd. Dec. 8, 1961 [Dec. 8, 1960], No. 42220/60. Class 52 (2). The back rest 21 of a typist's chair is supported on a pillar 20 which can be adjusted vertically and laterally. The pillar 20 is embraced by two rebated damping blocks 14 pivoted at 13 between rearwardly extending chair chassis members 11. A clamping action is applied by rotation of a bolt 18 passing through elongated slots in the members 11 and through holes in the blocks 14, said slots limiting the angular adjustment.
