Abstract

927,131. Interrupters. JOSEPH LUCAS (INDUSTRIES) Ltd. Aug. 18, 1961 [May 24, 1960], No. 18233/60. Class 38 (5). An ignition distributer for internal-combustion engines includes a capacitor 10 embedded in a body 11 of insulating material and mounted in an aperture in the distributer housing 3, one capacitor terminal being connected to the housing which is earthed and the other capacitor terminal being L-shaped, providing two tangs 14, 15, connected respectively externally of housing 3 to the primary winding of the ignition coil and internally of the housing to one contact of the cam-operated interrupter 6, the other interrupter contact being earthed to the housing. Longitudinally-extending grooves in the insulating body 11 are engaged by locating ribs 3a on the edge of the housing.
