Abstract

924,913. Ventilators. THERMOTANK Ltd. Jan. 30, 1962 [Feb. 7, 1961], No. 4548/61. Class 137. A grille for an air distributer comprises a number of sections, each presenting a curved discharge face 17 having a number of apertures 15, the sections being interconnected in stepped relationship to limit the extent of depression or projection of the grille as a whole in the direction of air movement through the grille. As shown, the grille is mounted in a casing 10 and includes four identical sections 11-14, preferably of synthetic resinous material, which may be part cylindrical (as shown), or partspherical in form. A bracket portion 16 at one end of each section is used in joining adjacent sections. The apertures 15 of each section may be in the form of equi-spaced slots, with a halfwidth slot at the end opposite to the bracket 16, or may alternatively be circular, the axial length of each aperture being substantially equal to the slot width or aperture diameter.
