A spring clamp consists of a pair of levers pivoted together at intermediate points of their lengths, the levers being formed at one end as jaws 11, 11a between which an object can be gripped, and at the other end as parts 12, 12a which can be pressed together against a spring to open the jaws, there also being provided a loop 14 pivoted by one of its limbs to one of the levers, the loop being pivotable from an open position where a tube or the like can be inserted in it to a closed position in which a bar 15 carried by the clamp closes the loop and locks together with the loop while being capable of release.
