A blank cartridge for recoilless guns comprises a priming charge 1 contained in a casing 2, which is housed in an outer shell 4 swaged at the forward end to form a shoulder 5 bearing on the casing 2 and closed by crimping. The space 3 between the two casings is filled with grease.
