[Also in Group XXVIII] A refrigerant compressor cylinder comprises an outer pressure cast steel, e.g. die cast or injection moulded portion 13 having an internal thread into which is screwed a liner 23 of cast iron. An upwardly extending portion of the cylinder part 13 has a flange 28 serving to lock a cover 27 in position.
