Abstract

920,451. Buttons. S. EMSIG, J. EMSIG, and J. R. SUCHER, [trading as EMSIG MANUFACTURING CO.]. April 14, 1960 [April 30, 1959], No. 13381/60. Class 43. [Also in Groups V and XVI] A button 14 of the type shown in Specification 720,320 has a shank portion 15 formed integrally with the head of the button which is embossed during moulding to produce a decorative effect. The decorative effect is produced by placing a nylon lacework or salt &c. between the mould halves during the curing of the button which may be of a thermosetting resin such as phenolformaldehyde, urea formaldehyde, or a polyester resin. The shank 15 is formed with two grooved portions, one on each side thereof and a sewing hole is formed through the two grooved portions. U.S.A. Specification 2,652,597 also is referred to.
