582,296. Buckles. UNITED-CARR FASTENER CORPORATION. Sept. 6, 1944, No. 17028. Convention date, Sept. 18, 1943. [Class 43] A buckle comprises a frame 10 with at least one cross-bar 12 around which the loop of a strap S may be passed and with a manipulating tongue 15 connected to one end, to provide a strap-engaging face 17 parallel to a face 18 of the cross-bar 12. The lower face 19 of the tongue joins the face 17 at an acute angle substantially below the plane of the lower end of the face 18. The space between the faces 17, 18 is less than the length of the face 18.- The buckle frame 10 may be formed with a single cross-bar and with a manipulating tongue at each end and may be made by moulding plastic material.
